I'm often asked, "Where can I stay on Keswick Island?" This article will link you to the relevant properties available for holiday rental. Please note that you will need to bring your own food supplies as there are no grocery shops or Dan Murphy's here (unfortunately! 🤣)

Keswick Retreat

I consider this the ultimate private home to holiday in on Keswick Island for several reasons:

  • Absolutely stunning 180 degree views from Mackay to the Coral Sea.
  • Located on the upper hills of Keswick Island Drive, it overlooks beautiful Basil Bay.
  • It's a roomy, comfortable home that sleeps six people.
  • All three bedrooms have a private ensuite.
  • Well-equipped, modern kitchen.
  • The deck is huge and great for eating al fresco, relaxing and entertaining on special occasions.
  • It comes with a six-seater buggy.
  • Your host is never far away should you have questions or need help.

Because this property is so popular, it's definitely worthwhile planning and booking your stay well in advance to avoid disappointment. For more details and to check availability, click here »

The most recent addition to holiday homes on Keswick Island is down near "The Village Green" overlooking Basil Bay. It's a lovely split-level three-bedroom home nestled amongst trees with a vibrant beachy holiday vibe emphasised by exposed beams & bamboo on some of the ceilings. Featuring a roomy master bedroom with ensuite, there is a double bedroom downstairs and a twin bedroom past the open plan lounge/dining room. Perfect for a family or group of friends to get away, a modern kitchen and bathroom are located upstairs with a laundry in the garage. Each bedroom & lounge room boasts a shady deck with water views to enjoy the balmy weather. Book early to nab this amazing space to enjoy your next holiday by checking availability here »

This three-bedroom villa is owned by the Keswick Island head lessee and is very close to Basil Bay. I haven't been inside this property since it has been available for holiday rental, but I believe it is well-maintained with modern inclusions. There's no photos of the kitchen or the lounge room, but I'd image they are medium sized.

I still get asked if the Keswick Island Guesthouse is still open for business, but unfortunately it ceased operating as a holiday property in 2015 and is now privately owned.
